Ha! lol I used Belray H1-R the last couple of years I flew... this stuff is supposed to be a little bit better than that. Supposedly they are the top 2. Maxima Castor 927, best, Belray H1-R second best. Like you and Monkey... JHRC Monkey, best, Naughty Monkey, second best. hehe

Funny how everyone has their opinions and we all know what those are like. I am just glad we have so many great options out there for everything.

Used to run Mobil 1 2t, but they stopped making it. Now I have been using Stihl Ultra HP and it is working well. PM me for the OTHER types of oil to use!!!!

I cruised over to our local dirt bike shop earlier this week to catch up on oils. The guys over there are into 5th scale RC trucks so they do have rc experience. They had great things to say about the Maxima 927 but they did warn that this type of oil will separate in the can if left sitting for awhile. So be aware of that and make sure to agitate the mix before fueling your plane. Not really a big deal. They also commented that the 927 will mean a bit more cleanup than some of the other oils.
They also said redline is what they sell the most.
What I'm looking for is an ashless alternative to Lawn boy that is easier to get up here for breaking engines in!

I just run synthetic from day 1, so does Joe, (flyrcjoe, man some of you guys have got to change your name!) Might take a little longer to break in, but man you get a strong engine when it is. If you want conventional, Chevron has real good oils.

I've always had a feeling that we obsess a bit too much over things like this. They are just chainsaw engines after all! LOL
