ZDZ90 install into new Extreme Flight MXS

I've been on the lookout for a plane to test out the ZDZ90. I've got a little over 3 gallons through the ZDZ112 in my PAU Edge and I keep hearing about how incredibly smooth and powerful this 90 is. I'm sure it would have "good" power in a 24-25lb. plane but I want crazy power. I had my eye on this 94" MXS for some time and after talking with Chris Hinson at Extreme 3D Fest, I knew this was the plane!! Perfect wing loading, strong design internally, etc.

Typical ARF "build" so it is only really a couple day project. I spent most of a day fine tuning the engine, mechanical choke, throttle, cowl and fuel system. Now its down to sealing hinge gaps and installing electronics.

Nice, Terry! So, first thing I was wondering was about what the tube vents were for, but I saw you post this on flyinggiants.com and read where you did it to direct the air to cool the muffler... smart. That last picture of the vent holes in the yellow covering, does the plane come with that aluminum deflector, or did you make that up? And, that choke linkage, you are just showing off now!

Two days for an ARF? You are good, I'm a month on the AW Yak55 ARF at this point! Doh! lol

Terry is the man! Just wait for it, he will come up with some cool custom accessory for this thing. It will go something like this.... "so i thought it would be cool to do (fill in the blank), so I drew it up in cad and cnc'd it. Took about ten minutes." Serious talent and skill! Looking forward to see you abusing this thing.
